radiator fan not working

The radiator fan no longer works and now my car overheats. Is there a fuse that controls this. I recently checked my fuse box and found a large grey metal kind of fuse that was blown and do not know if it controls that radiator fan.

Re: radiator fan not working

I don't know about the '86 but on my '90 it has a temp sensor switch (passenger side of the block IIRC) and a relay on the driverside firewall. If the relay is bad the fans don't work.

Re: radiator fan not working

I had a relay burn out, on my 92 305. I know the 86 has a relay as well, and it is on the firewall. That would be my first guess.
