Questions about vacuum pump

I have a set of brodix heads on order. Im in the process of rebuilding my motor and with the big cam I am putting in, a comp cams tech let me know I would loose power to the booster.

Who here uses an electric vacuum pump for their brakes? How do they feel? Is the braking the same?

Also my alternator is under-driven because I really have little to no electronics in the car besides, gauges, fan, headlights/taillights/signals (I rarely run at night and they are just there to be legal) Will I need to run a standard pulley on the alternator to use this or will it be fine with it under driven. I think I produce somewhere around 13.5v at idle and 14v at 3000+rpm not much less than a standard pulley.

Also are there any better alternatives to the electric pump? I was going to go hydro booster but its a little more involved than I wanted to get.

The mechanical race pumps are nice also but they are a little on the expensive side when it seems as if all I need is the electric pump.
