Well Im Still Getting Code 44 (Lean Exhaust).
I Also Got Code 24(VSS).. Now This Code I Seriously Dont Know Whats The Reason For It..
and i dont even know were the VSS is Located.
What Other Causes Might Be Setting My SES on??

 

Is there any indication engine is actually running lean?-pinging,
surging,hesitation?
For the VSS,that is behind the speedo,just an LED/phototransisto
that reflects of of the spinning magnet in the speedo-the optical
pickup is connected to a little yellow box behind the speedo
that outputs a pulse to the ECM. A bad vss is possible,but very
rare-bad ground or other minor electrical problem is much more
likely.

 

it has hesitsion and surging only wen cold. wen the car warms up its fine
but still trows the code 44
and yea i found that out.. can it be that since my speedo is not working its causing the code 24??

 

speedo not working will set the code 24.
Does your car have cruise control?-sometimes the
transducer's bearings will start to chatter or seize and
twist the cable between it and the tranny...
BTW no vss signal can cause certain drivability hiccups,
not sure if that could cause the code 44.

 

Yea The Car Has Cruise Control.. Im Gona Take The Dash Off And See What Might Be Causing My Speedo Not To Work..
I Also Have To Check The Cable That Goes To The Tranny Righ?

 

Don't take the dash apart just yet;problem is likely
under the hood or under the car-'83 camaro still used
the old '60s style cruise control with the cable driven
transducer mounted to the LH fenderwell,there is one
cable going in from the tranny and a 2nd cable going
out to the speedo-unscrew the cable on the cruise
control that comes from the tranny and try to turn
the square ended cable-if you can turn the cable more
than a couple degrees the cable is twisted.
If cable is twisted off,seized cruise control transducer
is likely cause-and it will need repaired or replaced
or bypassed with a standard cable from a non-CC car
or an'84-89 as those used electronic cruise control.

im gona replace the cables this weekend if the rain stops v.v
