Bad distributor or starter?
When hot, my 86 Z28 will sometimes act like it has starter heat soak or too much advance and crank veeeeerrrry slooooowly on the first key turn. If I turn the key back to off, and try to start again, she turns over fast (normal) and fires right up. Is it time for a new starter solenoid, or is my early 70's dizzy sticking with too much advance?
Starter is about a 10-12 year old lifetime warranty Advance auto unit w/ a solenoid heat shield.
Distributor is circa 70's unit with Accel Super HEI, Accel Cap and rotor, Accel ICU, curve kit with 1 light and one medium spring (IIRC), Accel adjustable vacuum can, and a speedway/unilite replacement harness and pickup (http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Stock-...ness,1342.html).
Thanks in advance- no pun intended.
