Car: 1989 Firebird Formula

Engine: 305 TBI

Engine running rough under stress

1989 Formula 305 TBI, every time the engine is in a moderate amount of stress (2800-3200 RPM) like going up a hill or accelerating in a lower gear the engine sounds like it has a really bad exhaust leak and runs really rough and wont accelerate worth a crap....anyone got any ideas?
