I bought the car at the right price for parts, it has a 383 with alum trick flow heads, new 700r4 and alum radiator and a lot of good stuff, I plan on pulling the engine, dont know if I want to keep the trans since its a 7 vein front pump instead of a 10 like the 88 and newer, plus I dont really need the trans. The car ran high 12's with street tires and single exhaust but it does have shorty headers...sorry I keep going on, anyhow the car has a 91-92 tall rear spoiler, aftermarket cowl hood that keeps the louvers and it says "SS" in all the emblem areas...the door decals say "IROC SS" it actually looks authentic. My question is did someone make an "SS" kit for this at one time or what? I am going to part the car out as soon as I pull the engine and radiator and I dont know to tell people its an iroc ss or iroc z. Please let me know what the hell I have, it did come with the original iroc hood and spoiler.

 

Not aware of any such SS package on any third gen. If it's and 86, that would have only had the 3 piece low spoiler on it. The best thing to do is run the numbers and see what it is.

the vin comes back as an iroc car with the LG4 engine...didnt know they put those in irocs. The car also has the "TUNED PORT INJECTION" badge on the left rear bumper and I know thats a lie! I will definatley get my money back from the car in parts, thank you guys for your help
