hey latley iv been hearing a hissing noise that seems to be coming from the tbi but almost sounds like a terrible vaccum leak but iv checked all my lines and i know there arnt any vaccum leaks. does anyone have an idea about what it might be. it also seems to be worse when i first start her.

 

idle air control valve, its all gunked up and the hissin you hear is it trying to suck air. Jus my guess.

 

how would i go about unclogging it?

 

I dont really know i have never tried to clean one up.They get pretty nasty and black.Maybe if u soaked it for a while n somthing that breaks down the carbon on it or spray it with alot of carb cleaner. I suggest getting a new one only bout 25 bucks if i remember right. Good luck

 

Check your coolant lines. I had a pin hole in my upper radiator line and it was making a hissing noise.
