i have a 92 tbi 305, my problem started a couple weeks ago when cruizing down the highway it would spit and sputter...not all the time just once in a while, now it even does it when its sitting there idling, hasnt thrown any codes, i changed the ignition module, checked fro vacum leaks still cant figure it out....any suggestions would be thankful

 

fuel filter?

 

might have a misfire. check plugs. ohm injectors. should be 16 ohms.

 

Could be fuel injectors

 

check fuel pump, maybe your not getting enough gas, also fuel filter and plugs like everyone else said

 

I don't know much about TBI, but I don't think that the injectors are high impedance.(16 ohms) Look on line for the impedance values to be shure. How many miles do you have? If your fuel pump is weak it will cause symtons like yours. Also dirty fuel injectors will do it. I always tune the car up so I know that thinks like plugs, rotor and cap, wires and fuel filter are out of the question. one more thing, some times you may get contaminated fuel from a gas station, you know water in the gas, that will cause you problems too.
