My car loses power and dies while driving

Hi i have an 88 camaro i beleive used to be a 305. it now has a 350 tpi with a pretty big cam, headers, and msd timing adjuster and blaster coil. when i bought the car it used to die like it ran out of gas then i found out the fuel pump relay wasnt pluged in but it would drive without it. then recently the conectors on my coil blaster were broke and the car would lose spark. i fixed this now when im drivin and push the clutch in sometimes it will lose all power and die. then wont crank, but eventually will after a few.when it loses power the radio and ligts die but my dome light still works and my hatch releas and the buzer when the door is open. could some one help this is my only car i need it to get to work and school. thank you sorry for the long book i just typed. oh also it starts like it has a bad starter sometimes and sometimes it just clicks.

If you have a multimeter nows the time to break it out. Start by checking the fuse block for blown fuses, when the car is running check your charge make sure you have at least 14 volts at the battery. If all this checks out Id start looking for a bad ground or a burnt wire make sure your battery cable going to the starter isnt rubbing on a header.

Re: My car loses power and dies while driving

today i checked everything it all checks out. i even cleaned up every ground but the car did the same thing. Luckily i was at my shop i was messin arround with the wires that go to my starter, it seems to have alot and the look ghetto wired, but when i wiggled them sometimes then i would here my heater come on and it was able to start. Hopefully this is the problem and im gona try it tomaro. Thanks for the help.
