1987 305 suddenly stopped running - no spark
Trying to get my Z28 running again after it suddenly stopped a year ago. Car only has about 75k miles as it has spent most of its life in the garage.
I have replaced coil, dist. cap, rotor & ignition control module, but still no spark. Really nasty under the cap, and have a new distributor in reserve if I need it. 12v at coil during 'start', but it appeas that the computer is not pulsing back.
Fuel pump starts up, but even on ether - nothing - just gas/ether smell at exhaust.
All fuses seem to be OK. Only thing I found interesting is that the 10a fuse for the ECM shows 12v on one side and abour 3v on the other with the fuse removed. Should the fuse block be hot on both sides for this fuse? Common sense tells me 'no', but I am strictly old school, and really don't know much about computer controlled engines.
Thanks.
