Hope someone can help with this. i am completely confused. i just picked this car up a week ago not running. but has potential i hope....lol the guy i got it from said he thought it needed a fuel pump. i found the pressure check point on the fuel rail. had my friend open it while i turned the key. it shot out like old faithful. so i am guessing the pump is good. i don't have a guage to find out the exact pressure. it turns over but not spark. got a new coil my friend hooked it up without taking the old one off and there is still no spark. not sure what to do. any ideas guys or if somebody has had this problem and how to fix. my first firebird was a 85 305ci didn't have all the electronic do-dads....lol

Several auto parts stores have tester and will do it for free. Where and how are you checking for spark? Ignition module is often the most likely suspect. Get that checked first. Call first and see if they can do it for you

 

Thanks guys!!!! It was the ignition control module. I glad it was that easy. now gotta get tabs and i am on the road. to see it is worth it to trick out.....lol
