Quick Quench Question

Let me run this by you guys just to re-assure myself...

If the "quench area" is the tight area between the flat portion of the piston and the flat portion of the combustion chamber in a typical wedge-style chamber....

My thinking is, it should make no difference if
A) The block is Zero decked (Piston is flush with the deck at TDC) and you run a .040" head gasket

VS

B) A Piston .025" in the bore with a .015 head gasket....
Both have a quench of .040"
Same desired effect, RIGHT?
