Car: 1991 Pontiac Firebird
Engine: 383 LT1
Transmission: built 700r4 and fuddle 3500stall
Axle/Gears: 4th gen 3.42 auburn
How to tow my car?
I pulled the engine and transmission. I have a tow bar mounted to the front can it still be pulled behind a truck without the torque arm mounted to anything?
Does the torque arm need to be taken off?

Tie it up good under the car so it doesn't act as a pole vault - the panhard bar, rear shocks, and LCA's all keep the rear end inline.

Yeah. Could take tranny crossmember off tranny and bolt back to car, then tie up to it. Or take it out.
