oil leak issues
I have a sensor that is connected to my oil cooler unit which my oil filter screws up onto, (the unit not the sensor). The plug on the sensor has started to drip oil. I think its the oil pressure switch (fuel pump), as it says in my chilton but when I look up a picture of the sensor online its not the same as whats under the car. Plus I believe the oil pressure switch sits just under the head. So if anyone could tell me what sensor it is it would be much appreciated. thanks.

Re: oil leak issues
That is the Oil Pressure Sending Unit located above the filter.
The one in the head on driver side is the coolant temp sender for the coolant guage.

AZ refers to it as a oil pressure switch - most of us here call it an oil pressure sending unit.
On that AZ page, there are two - the second one looks like what's above the oil filter. The first one is what's normally located on the china wall, driver side of distributor.
Early cars had #1. Later cars had what looked like #2. Some cars in the middle years had both.
#1 usually runs the guage on the earlier cars. #2 usually ran the fuel pumps on the middle year cars. In the later year cars, a unit similar to #2 was used and worked both the guage and the fuel pump - this later one had a 3 prong/wire connector on it.
Note that on that second AZ pic, it states light (not guage).
Hope that helps!
