my engine ID

okayI looked on the back of my engine or what I could see anyways and Im not sure if its my engines ID or not but it says 8004 can someone tell if it is and if its a 350 and all

there should be more numbers on the back of the block where the bellhousing mounts up on the drivers side of the distributor and on the front pass side i believe 4 characters for the date code

Not all 350's have the 010 casting and not all 010 castings are 350's.

Look behind the driver's side head for a casting number. That can at least determine if it's a 350 or 305 block. On the pad in front of the passenger side head, get the stamped numbers. That can tell a lot more information about exactly what the engine was originally in.
