Hot engine won't start

Need help. Have an 85 Trans Am with a completely stock carburated 305 5 speed that will only start when it's stone cold. Runs and drives great. Once it has been run and is hot it only turns over one revolution about once every three seconds. Sounds like it has 13 to one compression. Has new starter and solenoid, new positive and negative cables, new battery, timing is set right on 4 degrees. Has new rad - engine is not overheated.

Re: Hot engine won't start

I used to have a hard start problem too when hot, and i replaced the starter with a mini starter. (cables and battery were newer also) It was good after that. The neg cable on a good ground source? Is that the CCC quadrajet carburetor- assuming it is if stock...
