Intake manifold swap question
So I took off the stock intake manifold and I am replacing it with a holley. What is the reason for the 2 rear coolant ports being blocked off with aluminum squares and only a small hole drilled in them for coolant to flow through. Is that something I should leave or remove? Wish I took a photo of them, anyone know what Im talking about?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Intake manifold swap question
To restrict coolant flow
Just use the correct intake gasket for your engine if it has the restrictor plates built in
Does the Avenger have the rear coolant crossover passage?
( most aftermarket intakes don't )
If not , then restrictor becomes academic as no place for the coolant to flow anyway
