88 T/A 5.0 High Idle

Hi I have a 1988 Trans Am 305 TPI. It idles at 1500 rpm cold 1000 rpm warm and 700 to 800 in drive. Any tips on making it lower or is that correct? I was messing around with the idle screw and throttle positioning sensor but im not sure. Also i removed the heater diverter valve after removing my A/C and cleaning up the engine bay. I cut the vacuum line running to that and the one from the intake not knowing I wouldnt be able to change from defrost :/. Is there anyway i can fix that? Thanks

First off, Welcome to the boards!

To fix the defrost issue, you're going to have to replace the vacuum hose that you cut. This cut vacuum line is also the most likely culperit of your high idle since it's causing a loss of vaccum. Replace that line, should fix both your problems.
