what kind of gas mileage will i get?
hi i have an 83 trans am which im putting the l69 motor in. i bought the comp cams 260h cam and an edelbrock performer rpm intake. what kind of gas mileage can i expect to get .700r4 tranny. Thanks, Eric

16-20 mpg at best IMO.
rear end gears plays a big factor in it too.

About the same as a stock L69. What carb are you planning to use though? A regular RPM manifold won't work with a Qjet like the L69 came with.

I consistantly get 17mpg - car specs in my sig if that helps.
Doesn't really matter - at $3.20+ a gallon (just went up today again), no amount of mileage is good enough anymore
