my old carburetered '88 305 LG4 (C248 date code, 14093627 casting number, CJA suffix code) needs to be rebiult, so i'm looking for an engine specs - clearances, torques and other stuff

If you have an '88 and an LG4, it isn't a 3rd gen.
But, first I'd ask why you think it needs a rebuild. These things are pretty tough, so unless you completely neglect them, they will keep running for a long, long time.
However, if you are convinced you want to do a rebuild, then a good ol' Haynes shop manual will contain all of the detailed info you need.
If you have an '88 and an LG4, it isn't a 3rd gen.

Yeah - 1988 305 was a TBI fuel injected LO3 motor, 1987 was last year for carb in a F-body car - although I guess maybe block specs/tolerances would be all the same, but heads, cam, induction are all different between LO3 & LG4.

i bought it last year, it was not used several years, as it seems. so, i think i have to rebuild it.
yes, i know, there was no '88 LG4 carburetered Camaro's, but according to Chevymania.com, "CJA" suffix code belongs to it
