Hello I will like to know whats the driffrent between a reverse water pump and a stock water pump for my 1989 Camaro RS 305. The want to replace the water pump with a street performance water pump one also whats a short or long water pump too? Can anyone recommend a good water pump with a fair price and good performance.

Re: water pump replacement

Non-issue.

ALL reverse-rotation ones are "long". "Short" ended in about 1969, except for Vettes where it lasted up to about 73. Reverse rotation started in about 88. Not hard to see, there's no short rev rot pumps.
