Fuel pressure problem, go figure
Okay I have an 84 Z28
There is no gas getting into the carb I don't think, and I don't know exactly why or I'd have it fixed!
I just bought a fuel pump and fuel filter, but I cannot get the fuel pump off of the out-line that goes to the carb. I have a pic attached to show what I'm talking about.
I know what's in front of me when I'm working on it, but I don't know what the proper steps are in replacing a fuel pump. I've gotten the two bolts off, but I cannot get the out-line off. I got one of the in-line's off, as you can see in the picture with gas on the ground below. I stopped after seeing the gas, thinking I may be doing something wrong.
Now I'm seeking advice since I do not have my owner's manual for the time being. Because of that I also have no idea where the fuel filter goes.
FOR THE ATTACHED PICTURE:
The BLUE arrow is pointing to the line I cannot manage to remove. The RED arrow is pointing out of the picture to a bolt that I tightened. It is awfully close to the fuel pump, so I guess I should mention that I tinkered with it.
Any and all help is appreciated, and thank you in advanced!

Re: Fuel pressure problem, go figure
Jmerrill010, welcome to TGO. This is a thread move with a bump.
At the fuel pump, should use a flair nut wrench on the tube side nut. Then an open end wrench on the square fitting that the tube attaches to. This will give the leverage required without twisting the pump fitting.

Re: Fuel pressure problem, go figure
Thank you that got me where I needed to go! Turns out it's not the fuel pump, but a new one definitely doesn't hurt haha.
And it's not a fuel pressure problem it's my distributor cap, rotors and spark plugs. My neighbor came over when he saw me messing with my car. He's an electrician so he goes straight to those components of a car when he has a problem. Told me all the details I needed once he got the details of my problems. Turns out he's probably right, does anyone agree?
Problem:
Rough idling/engine dies unless I warm it up (for a few minutes might I add)
stays running well when warmed though
Looks like I have the standard Delco still on, none of the set-up might've been changed since it came off the factory line
