How fixed my pushrod issue.
1-Hooked vacuum gauge up saw it fluttered, immediately pulled valvecover
2-Found bent pushrods, lots of them.
Fix? Replace pushrods and drive it. If something was bent youd know.
My Fix
Tear new motor with 60 miles out of car.
Pull heads off discover nothing was broken bent or had contact to elminiate paranoia.
Realize I had cheap pushrods and the motor was fine.
Build 385 stroker, up the compression more cam more porting
Build it to the point it will be as reliable as a cheap crack ho
So in case that mysterious "race of all races" pops up..kind of like the Phantom car in the Speed Racer cartoon shows up out of nowhere Im ready...lol
Its out there I know it.
Oh yes, Then put new pushrods in it.
The car disease only gets worse
Should be done in a few weeks

Re: How fixed my pushrod issue.
Was concerned about that, measured and remeasured seemed to check out Ok with room to spare, open/closed pressures were good.
Guessing they were flexing some at normal driving rpms and once they climbed up for the first time just noodled.
Use shaft rockers so no guideplates, I can see where they were touching the head it was so bad then finally snapped the end off.. Will triple check before reassembling.
If I were to discover thats truly what the issue was Id be pretty upset.
Thanks for the tip
