91 Firebird w/305 TBI sluggish after warm up
I am having a strange issue with my 91 Bird. The car runs pretty good when it has been setting for awhile. It starts great and idles good and runs great. After driving for awhile and shutting off the car it will start right back up and idle fine. But if I let it set for 10 minutes or so then when I restart the car the idle is very rough and smells like gas. The engine bogs down on acceleration and continues to smell like gas. This occurs for several seconds and then it corrects and begins to idle fine and run great again, until I shut it off and wait a few minutes and the issue starts all over again. If I let it set for a few hours then it will start up and run fine until it heats up again. Which the issue starts all over again.
It appears that it is temperature and/or time related. I am planning on having the Distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs and O2 sensor changed out.
Is there anything else to have checked that might cause this issue?
