Okay I just bought an 85 ta for 1500. The engine is all chromed out and painted and the body is in decent shape. So I couldn't say no. It's running slow for the components it has and i'm trying to figure out where to start. Any ideas are appreciated. Here is what is in it.

have not done timing and carb tune yet
the first thing i did was an oil change, and i only drained about 1 qt... i'm really hoping there isn't major damage done to it because of lack of maintenance...

my rsx beat it in a 3rd gear pull no problem... i'm guessing the best place to start is the cylinder head, if so what do you guys recommend
