Finally got my new engine! 350 lo5 TBI
So after searching and failing many times for the past few months,we finally came across a nice 5.7 liter out of a Roadmaster. Guy had it at a shop. Said the cars body was crap and the engine ran WAY too good to junk with the car. So i hauled A s s out there today to check it out. Sure enough,it was the right one. 92 Roadmaster 5.7 with 112,000 miles. Its the type A model which i heard is the less duty model. It pushes out about 190-220 HP i believe? And has about 300 torque. Ive got some headers im throwing on there with a 3 inch Y pipe which goes into a 2 inch flange, sadly. Also throwing on a new open element air breather and some extra goodies. The motor needs a REAL good cleaning but from what the guy said,it was a beastly running engine. Its the complete motor from the pan to the intake. Only needs an alternator. Ive got some chrome valve covers im slipping on there. Also considering throwing in a bigger cam while im at it? Still debating. Weve just been through hell with this car. So were pretty much at the end of our rope here. We just wanna get the thing plated! haha. So were gonna put er in maybe next wednesday? Hopefully. Until then i got 2 305's to take to the yard ;-]. Anything else you guys think i should do other than what i mentioned? Im flushing out the excess antifreeze and putting in some stem seals. I dont wanna tear the entire thing down to the block, thats why im majorly thinking about the cam. Thanks guys

Looks like you got everything from/for the 350 TBI, this will make it a easy swap.
Cam upgrade requires tuning and some fueling adjustment/upgrades, but it is well wort it.
