I have an 86 trans am with a carbed 305. the previous owner replaced the engine wire harness with one from a tuned port car. I fond the coil wire got it hooked up, reached in and started it up and all seemed good untill i went 2 shut it off.... turned key off and motor kept running,the only way to shut the car off is to unplug power wire from coil. even with the distributor and alternator unplugged and the key off the following stay on: amp guage shows battery voltage turn signals work and the check engine light is still on,i have power every place i SHOULDNT!!!! so far everything is pointing 2 the ignition switch but ive replaced it and it still does the same thing.... any help would be great because as of now im completly out of ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!
