can my car do a 1500 mile trip??
I was considering going on a road trip to visit some family but am not sure if my car is ok to do so. Its a lo3 with 200xxx miles. Within the past few years its got new radiator, water pump, fuel pump, and altenator. Everything else is oriiginal. Is that car ok for a 3000 mile round trip ?

Hey anything can happen. You could be a brand new car with 20miles and not make it. You just never know. Me personaly I would rent a car. because that would be an expensive tow bill. just my two cents

ive driven this car 4 times round trip to indiana from california, took 2 different ways, the mountains are fun, way up thou, she lacks a lil power, ull have to down shift
If you encounter snow, you will probably spin out, encounter this issue on the top of the mountain in colorado, did i mention their police force is BS and lame? "gave me a ticket for unsafe handeling"
Going down steep grades on slick surfaces sucks, at leest in my camaro " new tires to"
Strait roads, its not bad, if ur steering is good, you wont end up with blisters on your palms. I do suggest to bring 2 towels, one for each arm, that rubber is semi soft on short trips, after 800 miles feels, like ur resting ur arms on stones,
Change your fluids, bring a screw driver, pliars, and a blanket
Im not sure on your previous upkeep on the car, but it should make it no problem.

Rent a car or Bring a cell phone and buy some new shoes. No1 here can tell you if your car could make it around the block, much less a 3k round trip. Also you should take note that if you do or have any work done before leaving i would wait at least 2-3 days before leaving and do some decent test drives.
