TPI idle problem

Car: 1989 IROC
Engine: L98 350
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.45 posi 1LE
TPI idle problem
In the last 3 years, once every 3 months or so, my 89 IROC idles like it's running on 6 cylinders instead of 8. I apply the gas, then it dies. I wait a minute before I start it, then it runs fine, for another 2-3 months. Today it did the same thing, twice. I took it to Arizona TPI 2 years ago, and they found no problems (after a diagnostic charge). WTH?
