Re: Cheap and Easy Power

Nope. "Cheap" and "power" cannot be used together in the same sentence, check Webster, it's a rule!

Save cash for a 350!

Re: Cheap and Easy Power

You could benefit first by giving your car a complete tune up. After that a nice full exhaust would be a good improvement.

nitrous

But that is not practical. As said earlier a basic tune-up. From there there are a hundred ways to go.

Re: Cheap and Easy Power

go to the classifieds here and you'd be amazed what you could find for not alot of money... you could bump your timing up, cooler t-stat, ......or vortec heads and tbi intake and a used cam.... then the nitrous
like they said the ideas are endless

Re: Cheap and Easy Power

you need to first sit down and think things over. Decide what direction you want to go and decide how much money you want to spend to get there.

Do you want a drag car that is not fun to drive on the street?

Do you want a nice comfortable daily driver with a little more get up and go?

Do you want a car that can straighten the curves and flatten the hills?

Do you want a mixture???

What is the budget? A couple hundred? 2k? 10k?

Be realistic and really think things through. That will save you money and make you happier in the long run.

Re: Cheap and Easy Power

When I had my old firebird I did the ultimate tbi mods and got a little more power that I could feel on the butt dyno but in the end the car was still a turd.

Cheap,Fast,or Reliable...You can only pick two out of the 3.
