dizzy 180 dgrees out right?
well had no start issue. so went back to timing .i loosened no.1 plug turnt it over by hand. when i started hear air i lined mark up at 0 and rotor button was facing exactly the opposite direction. i hope i am right dont want to mess with it until i hear from guys that know. when i tried to start it like it was. no start and only heard low audible pop.

if its on compression stroke on number one cylinder and your timing pointer is on zero, your rotor should be on number one spark plug wire.

If youre turning it over by hand, take out #1 plug, stick your finger in the plug hole, and turn the engine over untill you feel air trying to push your finger out of the hole. Then line up the timing mark on the balancer with 0, and point the dizzy rotor to the #1 plug on the cap. From there you can stick a timing light on it and set your timing where you want it.
