EGR Replacement and inatallation?

What's up everyone, got another problem on my hands. I recently moved to a small town so I know longer have to pass emissions, wich is great. But before I moved a guy at a shop said my egr was bad and needed to be replaced, wich was causing my car to stall and have a rough idle. I'm getting paid on Thursday and was planning on buying a replacement egr, but the guy at the shop said I had to get one from the dealership because an aftermarket/autozone one wouldn't have the electrical connector? Im not sure if that's true or not but I was wondering, how difficult is it to replace and do I have to get one from the dealership? I don't even think there IS a GM Dealer in this small town. Thanks guys

Re: EGR Replacement and inatallation?

You can take the wire from your old one and reuse it on the new one,you can get one at Auto Zone or any parts replacement store. And as far as being difficult no.
