Help with engine info

Howzit from South Africa,

I know this forum is for F Bodies and the like but I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I'm going to be putting a 350 V8 into a series 3 Land Rover. The casting number is 14093638, and the engine number is 901V0331PJC. From what I've found out it's a '88 model from a truck with 200HP but the site said it has a 4bbl carb on but mine has TBI? I'm going to convert to carb because we don't get decent engine maps for these motors here, the Jap motors are more common.

Can anyone tell me more about the motor, like what cams or heads it might have and are they decent motors. Any idea of why the code shows 4bbl carb but mine has TBI?

Thanks in advance guys,
Jared!

Re: Help with engine info

whatever site your looking at may just have wrong info. 1988 was first year of the TBI systems, and thus your motor should probably have a TBI on it.
