Fuel pump wont prime.

Drove my girlfriend to work hit a pothole which caused my guage fuse to blow, put in a new fuse and staryed the car to see if it was gonna blow again. Car staryed right up so I went and sat and ate, went to leave like 2 hours later and the car wont start. Turn the key and dont hear the fuel pump prime. Took the cover off the relay and the yellowish paper inside the relay is ripped, does this mean the relay is bad? Is there a way to rig it so I can atleast get the car home, im stuck with no parts store in walking distance and only a small socket set. Or is there something that couldve came loose cuz of the pothole? Is there a fuse somewhere than under the driver dash? Thanks in advance.

check the fuse between the battery and radiator, behind the fan relay.

Re: Fuel pump wont prime.

I am going to check that fuse when I get home. My car is doing the same thing right now. My fuel pump works, but won't prime. The car runs momentarily when a shot of starting fluid is sprayed. I replaced the fuel pump relay and all the fuses under the dash look good. I'm going to check the fuse 89RESTO is refering to, Fuel Pump/Oil Pressure Sending Switch, then maybe the distributor. Anything else I should look for guys?

Re: Fuel pump wont prime.

What was the culprit? The fuse? I hope that is my issue. I need to get this bad boy running so I can clean it up for G15.
