got it done

just finished replacing my motor mounts without removing the engine, and WITHOUT removing ANY part of the suspension. nor did i drill cut or weld on anything.

this may seem insignificant, but its been something ive been sweating and putting off all winter long. and whenever i posted or read anything about, i was told to remove the a-arms and springs. (which seems pretty tuff if your not set up to do that, like im not)

just another example that the right tool makes all the difference. i needed:
- a 15mm universal socket (the most important thing that made this possible, thanx be to ASE doc for that piece of advice)
-14 inches of 3/8 socket extention
-a chunk of 2x4
-2 sets of hands turning wrenchs
-3 sets of patience

the only concerns i have are that i replaced the mounts with more rubber ones instead of poly or solids ( at least i know how to do this now if they rip loose again)
and i use a 12in chunk of 2x4 to wedge between the oil pan and the sub-frame (the pan looks fine, but ill have to wait and see i guess...)

anyway, its on to the next thing that breaks. theres always something...
