Ok so my car had a little misfire from a few burnt sparkplug wires. I replaced the wires with some bwd's, installed delco plugs, stock replacement cap and rotor and a spare new coil i had laying around. The car ran beautiful for a few weeks.

Then the car sat for about two months. After that i had a hard time starting it, long cranks, sometimes even having to tap the gas pedal just to get it started. Then it got worse, misfiring at idle...then misfiring at take off.

Now it wont stay idling misfires horribly bad at take off, and at higher throttle and speeds it starts surging..sometimes...At startup its even putting out some smoke beyond the little bit of valve seal leak it gets.

Driving me CRAZY!!!! Its even getting horrible mpg now.

Seriously, i need some help, any ideas

 

Hook up a fuel gauge at the rails and check the fuel pressure. If you haven't replaced it in a while, also replace the fuel filter.
