91 RS 305 TBI
First:
From the factory was there a spacer between the air cleaner and intake? If so, how tall was it? I've had my car for a little over a month with no issues, and today the cleaner was resting on top of the coil wire causing some fun with electricity.

Second:
What is this rusty box? it is located on the driver's side next to the radiator under air snorkel intake. It has one green wire coming from the hood pin switch(?). it is really loose, and if you tap it and stop it from moving there is something inside that keeps moving like it is on a spring.

 

bump, would like to know also. I have the tbi in a 91, I don't recognise the part.

 

The spacer was about 1/2 inch.

The rusty box I've never seen before - it's not from factory.
