Engine would not turn over after power washing

My 92 305 TBI would not crank after I power washed it. After about 20 minutes it started right up. Something must have gotten wet. Any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Cover your distributer with a plastic bag next time. Being a computer car, I would be very careful with a pressure washer under the hood.

I agree. Distributor cap or starter 12v wire wasn't making a good connection

If it continues to fail to crank easily when hot even if you're not washing it that would make me think the starter is beginning to go bad.

The starter always sounds good when it cranks at what ever temp. I had power to everything except the starter wouldn't crank at all. As if I were trying to start when in drive. I was just washing the car. The hood was closed. I was not power washing the engine.
