Transmission: AUTO
Axle/Gears: STOCK
engine idle for years needs restart
Help Just got a firebird with a v8 that was a daily driver for years, then was put in the garage where it has just sat since 2007. Any suggs on ALL the steps I should take prior to trying to start this car up? Thanks in advance.

Charge the battery, check the oil and coolant, put gas in it, turn the key.

Assuming the tank had gas in it that long, I'd dump a can of Seafoam in there to clean up the fuel system.

agreed, seafoam is awsome. used it on my car after sitting for four years and it worked mint.
