low idle, bad mpg, lacking power -please help!
My car has been idling quite low and hasn't been running great at all recently. MPG sucks (around 10 mpg) and it isn't giving me the power and giddy up it should have. When i am coasting along and i slam on the gas it takes a few seconds to really pick up and even then there isnt much power there. When i hit the gas at a dead stop there's not a whole lot of power at all, i cant even make the tires squeel. burnouts are non existent and i know with these v8's with rear wheel drive i should be able to spin the tires all day. I'm not one to drive like a maniac but im paying for all this power at the pump and im not getting what i am paying for.
On top of everything im new to cars so i have no idea where to start

I know its located battery side closer to the passenger engine bay wall I would just start looking for wires that look fried or ever frayed.
