I have gotten a lot of help from you guys so here I am again for more. Last year I had my a/c retrofitted to 134A and I know I have a leak somewhere. How would I go about finding it. How many 12oz cans should I get to refill it. One last thing: I was checking the pressure and noticed that the air isnt coming out the vents but coming out the defroster. I know I forgot to hook a vac line back up when I changed the distributor and did that today and still nothing. Where do I look now? Thanks for any advice!

 

for the ac leak use some r134 with dye, fill it, let it leak out however long that takes and then use a light (UV, or blacklight i cant remember) to find it, if youre not hearing the leak or seeing it it could be internal to one of the parts, use the dye and go from there, to find a vaccum leak i would run the car and mist some carb cleaner around the engine bay, spray, wait a few seconds, spray, wait etc etc youll hear the rpms rise up, its also possible that the vaccum connections under the dash are open too, my hvac line cracked slightly so if i wanted to change the vents i had to turn the blower on high and then slide to the setting i wanted at a raised rpm

start with the dye and the carb cleaner and see where that leads you
