How to remove this?.................

I am trying to repair the contacts that actuate the blinkers but this thing is in the way. Do I have to use a pulley or is there another way of getting it off?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you will, just try and have a system where everything goes back.
You can get a kit at any auto store, for less then $10 bucks. Good luck, I hope you have a manual.

There's a thread on here somewhere on how to take all that apart.

Re: How to remove this?.................

there is a good write up around here that has good pictures, try searching ign cyclinder or tightening steering column. From what I remmeber from mine, you need to depress that pc and remove the snap ring. I used a pc of flat stock with a hole drilled in it, the nut you removed for the steering wheel and 2 sockets between the flat stock and that pc. Then use some small flat blade screw drivers/picks to get the ring off. Careful when loosening the nut as there is a spring behind that plate. Its not hard if you find the write up and keep track of the parts.
