I have a 92 RS in which i just swapped the motor. one 305 for another after i seized crank on one. i have everything back together but when i went to the key the fuel pump wont engage nor will it turn over. i can jump the starter underneath and it will turn. when i turn the key my temperature gauge goes all the way up. im assuming its vats but it is not there under the kick panel. i purchased it from a dealer that had a gps wired to it and never had a problem until the motor went. the security light comes on and will turn and go out. im not sure what is wrong. need help please.

 

I have the same issue that i posted on a previous thread... but my fuel pump primes and if I turn the key to the run position and turn the starter with a remote starter switch hooked up to the coil in the same place the key power goes the pump runs but the car doesn't start...

P.s. The one I'm working on is a 1989 TBI 305
