Ok, I've searched these forums and cannot find anyone with a similar problem so here goes from the beginning. I bought a 91 ws6 from my neighbor I knew the car wouldn't run but I was fairly positive I could get it going. He told me the car only had 10 psi fuel pressure, and the previous owner had swapped the engine. So going on this info I changed he fuel filter, pulled the fuel pump and discovered the plastic hose was cracked shooting fuel back into he tank, fixed that, checked pressure and was at 48 psi. Tried to start.. Nothin, it cranks but that's it. So checked injectors, had no pulse, replaced ECM that wasn't it so took it back, it turns out was ignition module for distributor, replaced tha and pickup, tried and nothin, the started needs replaced when you first try to turn it over it clicks, keep trying it will eventually crank. The guy who was working on it with me said he got it to start after above fixed but it ran like **** like the timing was off bad. I'm at a loss here, I was told by another person it needed some new fuel injectors but I'm not going to drop more money in if that's not the issue, sorry this is so long, anyone got any ideas thanks.

 

no body?? im at a loss here, taking the injectors out to test them right now?

 

Maybe a VATS issue? 1991 would have VATS, and VATS disables the injectors (VATS sends a pulsed wave signal to the ECM, without it the ECM won't fire the injectors). I don't know - it's something to check though.

its not a vats issue. the car is getting fuel and the injectors are pulsing, 4 or 5 of them are bad. would that keep it from starting with only 3 working? it seems like it should still start up, i was thinking about ordering the bosch injectors.

 

i pulled them off but local shops around here say they cannot test them unless there on the car, even if 4 or 5 of them are bad im still thinking about ordering a whole set.
