have a 92 rs with a 305 tbi motor . 160000 miles . after the car gets up too operating temp the fuel injecters stop spraying .it had a bad wire on the plug i fixed that i drove it 12 miles home an it shut off in my drive way an the injecters aren't spraying fuel again ? i got fuel pressure any ideas besides tps bad ?

 

Does it have spark?

 

it was jus running i had the timing light on it an i seen it is losing spark when the injectors stop firing

 

Check the pickup coil.

 

i jus replaced the control module an the coil an it seems to be ok again ...for now .lol

well i thought i had it fixed but i guess not .i've changed the coil ,coil pick up an control modual drive it about 15 miles an it shuts off .let it set 10-15 minutes an it starts again .would bad spark plug wires cause this ? it has a 160 thermostat so the temp never gets over 190 but it seems like it is something getting hot an shutting it off .i'm out of ideas an it's not showing any trouble codes . HELPPPPPP ....

 

ok just found a bare wire on my fuel pump relay taped it up an went for a ride .check engine light come on with code 21 but it didn't stall out .code 21 is tps voltage to high .i just put a new senser on a week ago so i may need to adjust t...hat .i been watching my a/f wioth the wide band an it seems to be good betwwen 13.98-15.2 on routew 37 .at idal it's a bit rich but the mis adjusted tps will cause that i suppose . i bought a new fuel filter tonight i'mn gonna instal that thursday .i'm hoping the bare feul relay wire was jumping on the firewall but i guess time will tell .
