Problems replacing the oil dip stick tube

I just got an 88 trans am with the 350 tpi. Somehow the previous owner jammed the oil dipstick into the tube really tight. after i pulled the stick out i see why he did it. when you rev the engine the oil comes shooting out of the tube. Why would the oil do that? I could not get the stick back into the tube like the original owner had it, and oil still comes shooting out even with the the stick in the tube and hard as i can get it. When I tried to replace the whole tube with the sbc universal tube from mr gasket, it would not fit in th eoil hole in the block. Anyone know why the oil would shoot out of the oil tube while reving and what is the correct mr gasket or spectre tube i need to replace it?

Re: Problems replacing the oil dip stick tube

One or both of your PCV valves is bad. Or if someone pulled off the emissions equipment and plugged the holes in the valve covers, take out the plugs and put breathers in. Oil coming out of the dipstick tube means you've got too much pressure in the crankcase, it doesn't have anything to do with the dipstick tube.
