Car: 1989 Camaro RS

Engine: 2.8L V6

Transmission: Automatic

Car wont start.

I have a 1989 Camaro RS with a 2.8L V6 engine. It will start but die within 5 seconds of starting it. Engine will keep running if i press on the gas but the second i let off the gas it dies. It also smells like really rich gas in the front when i try to start it. Any suggestions?

I would check fuel pressure, and fuel filter. That's the first thing that comes to my mind
