Hey im new here and i need some help with my camaro, Ive got a 92 z28 305 tpi camaro that will not start after it gets hot. It also hesitates under acceleration really bad almost like its the fuel pump but it did the same thing with the fuel pump in it before this one and it was new also.. my dad has owned this car since it was new. I just replaced the fuel pump in it about a week ago along with the starter, fuel filter, plugs,wires, and ignition module. I also checked the timing and the fuel pressure all are good. No plug wires are crossed and no loose grounds. This car has been a problem its whole life. But i still like it and it dont need to set in the garage not running anymore. Also if you unplug one injector" any one" it will accept throttle better. Not sure why though.

Any input is appreciated and im sorry for such the long post. I really would just like to get this car up and running again. It is not drivable at all it hesitates so bad.

 

also to add if you floor the car when it is parked or even ease into the gas slowly it acts as if the car has a two step, or a rev limiter around 3000 rpms and will not go any higher

 

Sounds like u might have a bad injector or two. Try ohming them out to see if you have a bad one

 

how do you ohm an injector? can it be done in the car? i'm practically an idiot with electrical stuff, so a step by step would be awesome!

 

Possiable Cat converter stopping up? i know on my old 97 camaro my converter started to stop up full of carbon build up....so i improvised... took a hammer and beat the livin crap out of it and started up my car and floored it to rev it up to blow out all that crap in it. White clouds of smoke rolled out and cleared up... car didnt hesitate again and drove fine... just went after that and had it replaced... but im not sure about the whole u unplugging an injector and it runnin better thing.. hmmmmmm
