Distributor Gear Install Questions
I am ready to install a Comp Cams ultra poly distributor gear on my distributor but had a question. What is the best way to get the pin out of the gear. I kept hitting it but it didn't come out. Also, The new gear doesn't have the part in it that drives the oil pump. What do I do about that?

Pin punch; seems like it's a 5/32" but I could be wrong.
It'll come out, blee dat. Support the end of the gear on a block of wood and speak to it in its own language.
The gear doesn't work the pump. The bottom of the shaft does. Therefore, do nothing about it, because there is nothing to do.
