Stupid trees! car motor cutting out and i have a long drive to work tomorrow!

hey guys, i effed up and was wondering if anyone could think of what it could be?

so, basically...

i was driving at night and replying to a text(dumb i know!) i look up and see a big @$$ tree laying in the road... i freak and hit the brakes, obviously they lock up and i slide right through the limbs on the top part of the tree....

hear all kind of bad noises. i shut her down and inspect in the dark with my dumb cell phone as a light source, i pull out a stick from under my car, check for anything leaking or broken, everything seems ok, i drive and notice the alignment is way off, hope its just that and nothing bent.(the steering wheel is turned to the right to make the car go strait lol)

after i removed the stick it stopped making a horrible noise, it was dragging on the ground. so im pissed but collective.

any way, i continue to drive and the car keeps acting like it wants to die randomly, revs funky and dumb, even while driving and hard to keep from dieing at idle. it feels like a miss fire, i figured a limb loosened a plug wire, so the next day i check them all at both ends(bodche wires, installed 3 months ago, still in good shape.) and all are not touching anything hot or metal, and all are plugged in all the way, so my question is, what else could of got knocked loose or unplugged under there?? sometimes it will drive just fine for an hour or so before it starts its crap again, i need this knocked out today as its my only day off from work, i don't want to be stranded on the way there tomorrow, all help is appreciated!

Try checking all the wires at the starter. Some of them connect to the ignition stuff.

you may have knocked loose a vac. line. i believe there's a vacuum ball under there somewhere, in the left infront of the wheel on mine.

heres the update, got car jacked up, dbl chk plug wires, all good, dbl chked vac hoses, all good, and looked at starter, it was all good.

The only wire that was off was the fan switch on passenger side, the mushroom looking one, hooked it back up, is that even a possibility for this? also stupid oil change place put way to much oil in, so im gonna drain some why its up, could that have anything to do with it? and any more suggestions?!?!

thanks guys

The plug in the head or the block? The one in the block right in front of the starter is the knock sensor. It being unplugged can make the engine run rough.

the fan switch, and the connector was melted, not the knock sensor
